Jonathan has been behind the camera since 2015 when he was enrolled by Olivia to be her second photographer. Jon has an eye for candid moments during your session. You will usually see him behind the 70-200 making sure to capture your laughter after Olivia asks you to twirl your lover.
In his spare time you can find Jon on the basketball court or beating someone in a board game. Jon is passionate about discipleship and helping others discover the Father Heart of God.
Olivia grew up in the countryside of SW Michigan. Since she was little she loved taking and being in photos. When middle school came and Myspace was all the rage she became quite good at setting up her dad's DSLR and taking new headshots for herself. In college while studying biochemistry she took a photography class to learn how to better utulize all the features of her dad's new DSLR. The college asked her to work for them capturing sports photos. Then friends and family started asking her to capture their family's, engagements, and weddings in 2012.
Olivia can usually be found feeding someone. She loves hosting and cooking meals for others. Her heart for hospitality is rooted in her desire for everyone to recognize their worth and walk in their giftings.
The outdoors and countryside or lush gardens are her happy-place.
Meet the Allens
When Jon and Olivia met they bonded over their heart for missions and medicine (both of us have Bachelors in Sciences with hopes of becoming medical doctors). A few months later Jon was asking Olivia to marry him and just over a year after meeting they were walking down the isle as newlyweds.
In what was suppose to be a gap year between medical school and undergrad, Jonathan, Olivia, & 5 month old Nehemiah did a 6 month Bible discipleship training and mission trip focused on providing medical care in poverty areas. Shortly after, they felt called to France to help start the same Bible discipleship training program with Youth With a Mission Paris Connect. Here we train and disciple missionaries from all over the world to better know God so that they can boldly make him known wherever life take them.
Before moving to Paris we began pursing our photography business as a means to support our missionary work in France, Europe, and the 10-40 window.
